Lipa Later Scam: Another Customer Duped

Two months ago, this site exposed fraudulent activities by Lipa Later. Lipa Later is a financial payments company whose service offering is to enable clients to ‘purchase’ goods and pay later has partnered with many notable brands and firms in Kenya. Hello, So there is this site  I saw online called Lipa Later, I checked out what they were offering and thought I should give it a try. I decided to apply for a phone and pay in monthly instalments. After I made my application, they asked for my MPESA statements which I sent them, After some minutes my application was approved and they told me the phone will be delivered, a guy from their offices later called me and told me about the contract, which was to be sent in USSD format. They had instructed me that when I got the USSD instruction I should accept it, I got it and accepted, but after that they stopped communicating. They don't pick calls or respond to emails. The guy's (salesperson) phone number too went offline since then. so they got me in a contract which am supposed to pay Kshs. 5000 for 12 months, for a phone I didn't get. Expose these people defrauding innocent Kenyans out here!!!!
