He had been battling an illness linked to high uric acid levels and received treatment on Saturday. Reports indicate he was on the mend and even watched the Harambee Stars’ match against Gabon before collapsing.

“With a broken heart, I say goodbye to the love of my life. There are losses that can never be replaced, and losing you is the hardest thing I will ever face. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye—I would never have been. I would give anything for one more moment, one more embrace, but I hold on to the love you so freely gave me.”
She recalled how Mudimba would gently place his hand on her belly, praying for their unborn child’s protection.
