A recent complaint directed at regional financial powerhouse NCBA Bank has brought to light troubling concerns over suspected debit card fraud, alleged data breaches, and poor customer support in addressing the matter.
The individual behind the complaint claims to have discovered an unauthorized online transaction made using their NCBA-issued debit card, despite never having lost the card or used it for any previous online purchases.

Alarmingly, the transaction was reportedly executed without their knowledge or consent.
Upon raising the issue at one of NCBA’s branch locations and later at its head office, the customer says they were advised to wait an extended period for resolution.
However, subsequent communication from the bank allegedly dismissed the claim entirely, suggesting that the transaction appeared valid based on internal checks, despite the customer maintaining they never received any form of authentication prompt such as an OTP (One-Time Password).
Further complicating the situation, the complainant discovered that the email account tied to their bank details had been unexpectedly deleted, making it impossible to verify the bank’s claim about an OTP having been sent.
The circumstances have raised questions about possible internal vulnerabilities or mishandling of sensitive customer information.
Given that the card, contact, and email details were only provided to the bank during the onboarding process, the complainant has called for further inquiry into the possibility of insider involvement.
With concerns growing about transparency and accountability in how such fraud-related cases are handled, the person is now appealing to others who may have faced similar experiences with NCBA to come forward and share their stories, to build collective pressure for redress.
