On June 8, 2020, HF Group marked a significant milestone in the development of Nairobi's Clay City, a Ksh 700m project that has seen the completion of the first phase, consisting of 80 three-bedroom apartments along the Thika Super Highway.
The project, launched in 2018, was built under a joint venture with Clay Works Limited, which owns the land, while HF Group fully financed the development.
According to HF Group CEO Robert Kibaara, the setting of Clay City is perfect for homebuyers seeking serenity, convenience, and amenities. "As always, we dedicated significant time and resources to respond to customer needs, to ensure we're delivering exactly what our homebuyers are looking for," he said.
"While there is no doubt that the real estate market in the country has slowed down in the last few years, we have put in place aggressive marketing strategies, including the Shika Nyumba property sales campaign, to drive the up-take of Clay City as well as other housing developments under our portfolio," added Mr. Kibaara.
The three-bedroom apartments, priced from Ksh 8,650,000, come with separate dining areas, spacious en-suite master bedrooms, and all bedrooms with in-built wardrobes. The development also boasts ample green landscaped areas, children's play areas, solar-powered security streetlights, power backup for common areas, secure boundary walls with electric fences, and cabro-paved driveways within a gated compound with controlled single entry and exit for enhanced security.
HF Group has a strong legacy of over 55 years in property development and finance, empowering more than 9,000 households to own property. The Group has diversified to provide full-service banking, with mortgage finance remaining a key area of focus. "HF is committed to the affordable housing agenda and will continue to collaborate with partners in the public and private sector to deliver on this fundamental human right and make homeownership a reality for the majority of Kenyans," said Mr. Kibaara.
