With the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season hanging in the balance, Kisumu All Stars coach Andrew Aroka has expressed his team's readiness to face the challenge of play-offs, if the current standings are used to determine the season's fate.

As the KPL governing council prepares to meet this week to decide the season's outcome, Aroka has instructed his players to prepare psychologically for the possibility of play-offs.

According to Aroka, the only way for Kisumu All Stars to avoid play-offs is for the KPL to nullify the entire season, a decision that is yet to be made.

However, Aroka remains optimistic about his team's chances, stating that they do not fear participating in play-offs and are confident in their ability to remain in the top flight league next season.

“We are ready for any decision that will be made by KPL. Let me be categorical that we don’t fear Vihiga United because we believe in ourselves and I’m sure we shall not miss on KPL next season,” Aroka said.

It's worth noting that Kisumu All Stars are currently 16th in the KPL standings, and if the season were to end as things stand, they would likely face Vihiga United, who are third on the National Super League log.

As the KPL season hangs in the balance, Aroka has urged the governing council to consider the implications of using the half table standings, which he believes would be unfair to many teams in the league.
