February 1, 2020, marked a disappointing day for Tanasha Donna's EP album launch in Kenya and the East Africa community. Despite being given three months to prepare, Tanasha's performance was marred by her being off-key, high-pitched, and visibly tense.
Adding to the disappointment was Diamond Platnumz's sudden departure, citing a family emergency. However, it was later revealed that he had actually left to attend Esma Platnumz's birthday party.
Months later, Tanasha opened up about the real reason behind Diamond's disappearance. In a recent interview, she revealed that Diamond had demanded to be paid to attend her concert, and when he wasn't, he opted out last minute.
Not only did Diamond fail to show up, but he also didn't contribute a single penny to her EP launch. Tanasha and her team had to fund everything from their own pockets, making it a significant financial burden.
As Tanasha reflected on the experience, she expressed her frustration with the situation, stating, 'Yes, I was supposed to pay him to show up at my concert, can you believe that!? So he opted out last minute because he had not been paid.'
Despite her efforts to make the event a success, Tanasha felt unappreciated and unsupported by Diamond. She eventually decided to pack up and leave, citing the lack of support for her music career.
It's worth noting that Diamond had previously expressed his desire for Tanasha to be a housewife rather than a career woman, further highlighting his lack of support for her music aspirations.
