On Saturday night, a group of 27 revellers, including Utawala Member of the County Assembly Patrick Karani, were arrested for partying during curfew hours in Nairobi.
According to reports, the group was caught near Magunas Supermarket, where they were in defiance of the curfew order.
They were taken to the Kayole Police Station and booked for contravening the laws and guidelines stipulated by the government, including failing to maintain social distance.
Additionally, 15 people were arrested on Saturday afternoon at Komarock estate for partying while awaiting 'good news' from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
All the suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday.
