On June 7, 2020, the National Cohesion Integration Commission (NCIC) concluded a fact-finding mission in Narok South, where they identified political instigation as the key trigger behind the Maasai and Kipsigis clashes.

Commissioner Sam Kona stated that the Commission will take stern action against the perpetrators, urging locals to work closely with elders to come up with solutions towards lasting peace.

Narok South Deputy County Commissioner Felix Kisalu emphasized that those found in possession of bows and arrows will be prosecuted, and that the Government must repossess all weapons in the custody of residents for the conflict to end.

Area MCA Philemon Arwasa called on locals to invest in education for their children and embrace cohesion, while Joel Ole Ntoika, a retired Senior Chief, urged the Government to ensure those behind the conflict are brought to book.
