On December 14, 2020, Audrey Atieno Ochieng's life took a devastating turn when she was involved in a road accident while traveling on a motorcycle from Ugunja to her home in Siaya County.

According to Audrey, the motorcyclist was entering a petrol station when a vehicle hit them from behind, causing her leg to be completely fractured.

Despite being rushed to Siaya County Referral Hospital and later Bama Hospital, Audrey's leg was amputated four days later.

Her mother, Benta Adhiambo Ochieng, explained that the family's economic status forced them to take Audrey to a day school instead of Moi Girls, Nangili, where she had been admitted.

Now, Audrey is appealing for assistance to acquire an artificial leg, which would enable her to attend school and continue her education.

Any assistance can be channeled to Audrey's mother, Benta Adhiambo Ochieng, on telephone number 0708630368.
