On June 6, 2020, Nairobi News reported that Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu had secretly gotten married, sparking a wave of congratulatory messages on social media.
However, Wema Sepetu has since come out to deny the reports, stating that she was overwhelmed by the hundreds of messages and comments she received.
"I have seen how people have shown love and support by saying I'm married, so I ask God to bless their unions. I believe that my time will come, but for now, I leave it in the hands of the Almighty," Wema clarified.
It has since been revealed that the wedding photo shoot was for commercial purposes, not a real wedding.
Wema Sepetu's recent sentiments show a change of heart towards marriage, a stark contrast to her sentiments last year when she expressed hopelessness about ever getting married.
