President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced the cessation of movement in Nairobi's Eastleigh, Mombasa's Old Town, and Kilifi & Kwale counties will end at 4am on June 7th.
The announcement was made in a video address, which has been shared widely on social media.
Residents in these areas have been under lockdown since June 6th, with movement in and out of the areas restricted.
The lockdown was put in place to contain the spread of COVID-19.
