On Saturday, 6 May, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro expressed his discontent with the Jubilee party's treatment of Deputy President William Ruto and his followers.
Speaking at a press conference, Nyoro emphasized that if it weren't for Ruto, the Jubilee party would not have won the election.
He urged President Uhuru Kenyatta and his allies to return DP Ruto's votes and then expel him from the party, as they had been planning.
“Jubilee could not have won if it was not for Ruto. As I said before, if Jubilee is tired of William Ruto, let’s give him his votes then chase him away,” Nyoro stated.
He further argued that people should be given the freedom to talk, associate, and make choices, which is essential for democracy to flourish in the nation.
“Pluralism, rule of law & accountability are the basis on which economies grow. When people talk freely, associate freely & make choices freely, meritocracy flourishes. When that happens, the best ideas have a chance. We are African and Africa is our Business..” he asserted.
