On June 6, 2020, Telegram released a major update, bringing forth a plethora of exciting features to enhance user experience.
The company has upgraded its media editor to support animated stickers and video editing, allowing users to edit videos with ease.
According to Telegram, users can now automatically enhance video quality in just two taps or manually tweak a dozen parameters to achieve their desired outcome.
Additionally, users can zoom in on photos or videos when drawing on them to achieve precise results.
The update also includes the 'Chat experience' feature, which enables users to organize chats in Chat Folders, allowing them to include or exclude all chats of a particular type, pin unlimited chats, and hide some chats.
Swiping left on a chat will transfer it to the archived chats folder, and muted chats will remain archived forever.
Furthermore, the update brings the option to view detailed statistics for channels with more than 1,000 subscribers to study their growth and performance.
The latest additions to the emoji library include animated emojis that can help users be brave and urge their friends to stay safe and healthy.
Telegram has also introduced a Discussion Button, allowing users to access a separate group chat extension even on restricted channels.
The GIF panel has received new features, including a trending section and emoji-based sections that provide relevant GIFs for emojis such as the thumbs up or heart eyes.
With over 400 million active users, Telegram continues to innovate and improve its services, including the introduction of educational snippets and quizzes, as well as a new 20,000 stickers directory.
The company plans to release secure group video calls before the end of the year.
