Harry Kane is eager to lead Tottenham to a top-four finish in the Premier League, with the team set to resume their battle for Champions League qualification on June 17.
The English top-flight is scheduled to restart with Jose Mourinho's Spurs hosting Manchester United two days later, and Kane believes the team's sole focus on the Premier League will be a significant advantage.
"From our point of view, we are not in any of the other competitions, so we have got nine games to concentrate on picking up as many points and try and get into the Champions League spots," Kane told Sky Sports News.
With nine games remaining, Tottenham are seven points off the top four, but fifth place could be enough if Manchester City's appeal against a two-season European ban is rejected.
Winning their first game back would put Spurs just a point behind fifth-placed Manchester United, and Kane is confident that the team can make a strong push for a top-four finish.
"It feels like a pre-season, it has been good so far. I was doing individual training for a while and almost got to a stage where I was back with the team and then we had to stay at home," Kane said, reflecting on his nearly six-month layoff due to a serious hamstring injury.
