Published on June 6, 2020, a heated political debate has been sparked in the nation following President Uhuru Kenyatta's latest move.

The President's Executive Order has reorganized his government, effectively abolishing the Office of the Deputy President and denying DP Ruto's office sovereignty to run independently.

Deputy President William Ruto's key ally, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, has taken to his Facebook account to express his discontent with the President's actions.

"Let Uhuru Kenyatta meddle in the affairs of his own party Jubilee but let him dare not sabotage the constitution and constitutional institutions. Kenyans trusted him to serve them and not himself and his interests. Kenya is not a banana republic," Sudi posted.

According to Sudi, the President's move is an attempt to reduce DP Ruto's influence in the running of government affairs.
