The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a one-month delay in the release of the DV-2021 Green Card lottery results, which will now be available online starting Saturday, June 6, 2020, at 12pm EDT.
Individuals who registered for the lottery between October 2, 2019, and November 5, 2019, can check their status online using their confirmation number, last/family name, and birth year.
The Diversity Visa program, also known as the green card lottery, makes 50,000 green cards available to nationals of countries with low immigration rates to the United States in the last five years.
For DV-2021, nationals of countries with higher immigration rates, including Bangladesh, Brazil, and India, were not eligible to participate in the program.
Kenyan nationals, however, were eligible to participate in the DV-2021 lottery.
