On Friday, June 5, 2020, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) made a significant arrest along the Namanga Nairobi Highway. The suspects were ferrying explosive material near Maili Tisa trading centre.
According to the DCI, the three suspects were carrying 17 rolls of detonating codes and one packet containing 100 pieces of supreme detonators. The vehicle registration number of the Toyota Noah was KBM 880 U.
The suspects, identified as Moses Koite, 26, Patrick Ng'ang'a, 36, and Sadic Harabe Sadic, a 26-year-old foreign national, are currently in lawful custody pending further police action.
Further investigations on the matter are ongoing, as stated by the DCI in a Twitter post.
