Published on June 5, 2020, Kakamega Homeboyz, a Kenyan Premier League side, has made a significant investment in its team's comfort and morale by acquiring a new bus worth Sh18 million.
The bus, which is as comfortable as a tour vehicle, according to chairman Cleophas Shimanyula, is a motivational perk for the club, with more goodies on the way if the team wins the league.
Homeboyz, sponsored by Kakamega County Government, were second on the KPL log with 47 points, seven behind leaders Gor Mahia when the league was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Shimanyula revealed that the bus is a unique acquisition in the league, with only a few teams, including AFC Leopards and Wazito owned by tycoon Ricardo Badoer, owning expensive buses.
