Released on May 29, 2020, Sauti Sol's fifth studio album, Midnight Train, marks a significant milestone for the award-winning group under their first major label, Universal Music Africa.
The 13-track album takes listeners on a journey through life's trials and tribulations, with the group having already released four singles from the album.
The title track, Midnight Train, was produced by Andre Harris, a renowned producer who has worked with artists such as Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Jill Scott.
According to band member Chimano, the group's journey has been an ever-moving train, with each destination leading to new opportunities for growth and self-improvement.
"Each time we make it to a destination we realise the road doesn't stop there. We continue to better ourselves and look forward to bringing our fans along with us as we grow," he adds.
The album features collaborations with notable artists, including the Soweto Gospel Choir, singer Mortimer, American singer and songwriter India Arie, and Nigeria's Grammy-nominated Burna Boy.
