On June 5, 2020, HACO Industries made a significant contribution to the fight against COVID-19 by donating 2,500 bottles of hand sanitizers and antibacterial hand wash to the Kenya Red Cross.
The donation was part of the company's efforts to ensure that Kenyans who lack access to water for handwashing have a reliable alternative to prevent the spread of the virus.
'We are very happy to make a donation to the Red Cross for all the hard work they do whenever this country has a crisis and now during this coronavirus pandemic,' said HACO Managing Director Mary-Ann Musangi.
She emphasized that the company's donations would not be a one-off gesture, but rather a lasting partnership during the pandemic.
As part of this partnership, HACO Industries has also donated to other health facilities, including Kenyatta National Hospital, Mama Lucy Hospital, and hospitals in Nakuru.
Additionally, the company has distributed hand sanitizers to police stations and vulnerable communities in Nairobi, including Kasarani and Loresho Police stations.
So far, HACO Industries has donated over 16,000 bottles of sanitizers and antibacterial hand wash soap to various institutions and organizations across the country.
