On June 5, 2020, the National Assembly Committee on Sports led by Machakos Town Member of Parliament Victor Munyaka inspected the revamped Nyayo Stadium and Kasarani Stadium.
The committee expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, despite earlier concerns about a lack of funds.
Accompanied by Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed, the delegation toured the new look Nyayo Stadium and renovation works at the Kasarani Stadium.
The committee plans to continue inspecting works at other stadia across the country before presenting their report to the Speaker of the National Assembly.
