On 31 July, the Disney World Resort in Florida will become the temporary home of the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the remainder of the season.
The season was suspended on 11 March due to coronavirus measures, but the NBA board of governors has now approved a plan to resume the season at the resort.
The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando will host the games, which will be played without spectators to minimize the threat of Covid-19.
The 22 teams participating in the resumed season will be divided into two groups, with 13 teams from the Western Conference and 9 teams from the Eastern Conference.
The teams competing in the Western Conference include the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, and Memphis Grizzlies.
The teams competing in the Eastern Conference include the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Orlando Magic.
The season is expected to conclude by 12 October, with the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) set to vote on the plan during a conference call on Friday.
