On Friday, June 5, 2020, award-winning group Sauti Sol released their fifth studio album, 'Midnight Train', under their first major label, Universal Music Africa.
The group has already released four singles from the 13-track album, taking fans on a journey through life's trials and triumphs.
The title track 'Midnight Train' was produced by Andre Harris, a renowned producer who has worked with artists such as Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Jill Scott.
According to band member Chimano, the group's journey has been an ever-moving train, with each destination leading to new opportunities for growth and self-improvement.
Chimano added, 'Each time we make it to a destination we realise the road doesn’t stop there. We continue to better ourselves and look forward to bringing our fans along with us as we grow.'
The album features collaborations with international artists, including the Soweto Gospel Choir, singer Mortimer, American singer and songwriter India Arie, and Nigeria's Grammy-nominated Burna Boy.
With their unique blend of Swahili, Luhya, Dholuo, and English, Sauti Sol continues to tell stories that resonate with audiences across the world, earning them numerous accolades along the way.
