Abel Mutua's Wedding Day Nightmare ¶
Abel Mutua, a Kenyan actor and production mogul, had high hopes for his wedding day. However, things took a turn for the worse when he hired a rogue tailor to make his custom-made suit.
According to Abel, the tailor, La Giacca, promised to deliver a high-quality suit made from imported material for KSh 60,000, a fraction of the usual price of KSh 300,000 or more at a high-end shop.
Abel paid the tailor in full, trusting him to deliver the suit on time. However, three weeks went by, and Abel still had not received his suit. The tailor kept requesting more time, claiming that he needed to complete the look.
As the wedding day approached, Abel's friends and family started to get worried. They tried calling the tailor, but his phone was not going through. Abel was getting anxious, but he didn't want to disappoint his bride.
On the eve of the wedding, the tailor finally showed up with a suit that Abel suspected was locally made. The tailor asked to take the suit back to dry clean and press it, promising to deliver it by 4 am the next morning.
However, when Abel woke up at 6:30 am, there was no sign of the suit. He tried calling the tailor again, but his phone was still not going through. Abel's team had to come up with a plan B, and they ended up dressing him in a borrowed suit.
Abel's wedding day was a disaster, but it could have been worse. The tailor finally delivered the suit at 9:30 am, and Abel was able to change into it for the reception.
Abel has since learned his lesson the hard way. He never heard from the tailor again, and he has been left to pick up the pieces of his ruined wedding day.
