Published on June 4, 2020, Gareth Bale's future in the Premier League remains uncertain, but his agent, Jonathan Barnett, has made it clear that the Real Madrid forward is unlikely to return to the English top-flight league.
Bale, 30, has been linked with a move back to the Premier League on several occasions, with Newcastle being the latest club to be mentioned as suitors for the Wales international.
However, Barnett told the BBC that Bale is happy to remain in Spain and finish his career at the Bernabeu. "He has a very nice lifestyle. I don't see why he doesn't see his career out at Madrid, probably," Barnett said.
Bale has won numerous accolades since joining Real Madrid for a then-world record £85 million ($107 million) in 2013, including four Champions League titles. Despite his success, he has rarely been a regular under Real manager Zinedine Zidane and has been criticized by fans and media in Spain for prioritizing his golf hobby over his football career.
Despite the discord, Barnett insists that Bale has no plans to demand a move. "He's won nearly everything in the world, except the World Cup, but unfortunately he plays for Wales so some things are beyond him," Barnett said.
