The Premier League has given clubs the green light to play friendly matches before the restart on June 17, with strict restrictions in place to ensure player safety and adhere to social distancing rules.
According to the Telegraph, top-flight sides made requests to face other teams in preparation for the league's return, which was accepted by the Premier League.
Clubs will be allowed to play friendly matches at either their stadiums or training grounds, but with conditions such as negative Covid-19 tests being returned by players involved.
Measures have also been put in place to ensure hygiene and social distancing rules are adhered to, including clubs being forbidden from travelling for further than 90 minutes, and all players must travel in their own cars.
Neutral venues may also be used for some games upon resumption, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his desire to play home games at Anfield, saying "we will not have the help from the crowd but no team will have that so where is the advantage?"
However, Everton defender Yerry Mina is set to miss the restart of the Premier League season after picking up a muscle injury in training last week.
