On February 18, 2020, Opera launched Opera Mini 50, a browser that offers a better browsing experience with its unique features and user-friendly interface.
With over 15 years of providing a better browsing experience, Opera Mini has now been revamped to allow users a more personal and intuitive way to interact with the browser features they love.
The new Opera Mini 50 integrates a versatile status bar located at the top of the browser screen, which adds a touch of personalization to the browser. Users can receive welcome messages, greetings, and hints throughout the day, as well as notifications about the latest news and upcoming updates.
According to Andrzej Czarnecki, Product Manager for Opera Mini, "With Opera Mini 50, we are reinforcing the connection between the users and the features that they love in multiple touchpoints. We’ve introduced new styles, themes, and user experiences to improve the access to the features users need while enjoying superior aesthetics."
The new status bar also displays a data savings widget, which helps users keep control of their data consumption. The platform offers users the option to activate either high or extreme data savings mode, with the extreme mode capable of saving an impressive 81% of mobile data versus other browsers.
Opera Mini 50 also features a download manager with offline file-sharing capabilities, making it easier for users to share files they have already downloaded from the web to their phones.
