Published on May 25, 2020, a church leader in Kenya has found a creative way to continue spreading the Gospel despite the country's ban on church services due to social distancing restrictions.
The Rev. Paul Macharia, from All Saints' Cathedral in Kiambu County, has been leading a mobile church service dubbed 'B2B' or 'balcony to balcony,' where he delivers sermons to scores of people in apartment buildings each Sunday.
According to Macharia, the reception he has received has been overwhelming, and he credits the community for inviting his mobile church into their lives.
'It has been beautiful seeing children coming together for worship services,' Macharia said in an interview with the Associated Press.
As Kenya tries to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, which has infected over 1,000 people and caused at least 50 deaths, Macharia's mobile church service has become a beacon of hope for many.
