Covid-19: 22 New Cases Reported in Kenya

On Sunday, Kenya recorded 22 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the national tally to 1,214, as of the date of this report, May 24, 2020.

According to Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman, the new cases were aged between 24 and 73 years-old, with 17 males and five females. The cases were reported in various counties, including Nairobi, which had 10 cases, Mombasa with nine cases, and Kwale, Nakuru, and Taita Taveta, each with one case.

On a positive note, Dr. Aman announced that three patients were discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of recoveries to 383. Unfortunately, one patient who tested positive in Mathare succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to 51.
