On February 22, 2020, Tyson Fury defeated Deontay Wilder in a WBC heavyweight championship boxing match in Las Vegas, winning the title with a seventh-round stoppage.

Anthony Joshua, on the other hand, reclaimed his IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO titles in a December rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua's next fight is scheduled against Kubrat Pulev, but their bout has been postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

"If I get knocked out by Wilder, then it won't be on, will it," Fury told Sky Sports, emphasizing the importance of focusing on their immediate opponents before considering a potential showdown with Joshua.

Fury believes a meeting with Joshua has the potential to be the biggest match since Britons Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno fought in 1993, and he is eager to give British boxing fans what they want by facing Joshua for the undisputed world heavyweight title.

"All going well, god willing, we get on the big fight with me and Joshua, the all-British showdown, and I can give the fans what they want to see, especially the British fans," Fury said.
