Former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has been recovering well after being admitted to a Nairobi hospital with breathing difficulties, according to her son Steven Kariuki.
On May 24, 2020, Kariuki took to Twitter to set the record straight on his mother's health condition, dispelling rumors that she had contracted COVID-19.
"#IStandWithBishopWanjiru recovering well God answers prayers," Kariuki tweeted.
He also clarified that there was no gathering or 'kesha' as earlier reported, and that the 18 people mentioned were part of the contact tracing process.
"@ntvkenya 18 people you are on about is contact tracing I did for last 2 weeks workers & family. I did private testing, invited MOH 2 come get all to the right place, doing the right thing there was no hosting mungu mbele," Kariuki explained.
