As the world continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, sports leagues are finding ways to adapt and move forward. In a recent development, Major League Soccer (MLS) has announced that it is exploring scenarios for a possible return to action.

According to reports, MLS is considering holding a tournament in Orlando, Florida, which would involve all 26 teams. The tournament would reportedly take place in June, with teams being divided into four groups. This would be the MLS' first live competition since its season was suspended in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Participants in the tournament would be regularly tested and quarantined after arriving in Orlando, with each team playing at least five games. This move is seen as a step towards reviving the sport, which has been severely impacted by the pandemic.

MLS teams have already resumed voluntary practices earlier this month, marking a significant step towards a return to action. The National Women's Soccer League is also reportedly planning to hold a month-long tournament outside Salt Lake City, Utah, beginning in June. Meanwhile, Germany's Bundesliga has already returned to action last week.

MLS is exploring various scenarios and formats for a return to match play, including playing matches at one or more neutral sites. While the league has not commented on specific reports of a June 'mini-tournament', it is clear that they are working towards a possible return to action.

As the sports world continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how MLS and other leagues navigate the challenges posed by the pandemic. One thing is certain, however - the return of sports is a welcome development for fans and players alike.
