On May 23, 2020, a devastating road accident occurred at the Londiani Junction on the Nakuru-Kericho Highway, claiming the lives of at least three people and leaving scores of others injured.
According to Rift Valley Traffic Enforcement officer Rashid Ali, the accident involved five vehicles, including a lorry that lost control and collided with oncoming motorists.
Londiani resident David Githingori, who witnessed the accident, stated that it occurred around 11am. Police and first responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to retrieve bodies trapped inside the mangled wreckage of the vehicles.
Rescue efforts are ongoing, with Londiani MCA Stanley Bett confirming that survivors are being rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
