On May 23, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta announced significant funding allocations for environmental initiatives in Kenya.
As part of his efforts to address environmental concerns, the President set aside Ksh. 850 million for various projects, including flood control measures and the greening Kenya campaign.
Additionally, Ksh. 1 billion was allocated for flood control measures, while Ksh. 540 million was earmarked for the greening Kenya campaign.
Furthermore, Ksh. 600 million was allocated for manufacturing initiatives.
