On May 23, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta unveiled an 8-point economic stimulus program aimed at boosting the country's economy.
The program, worth a total of Ksh 53.7 billion, will focus on various sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, and manufacturing.
According to President Kenyatta, the first element of the program will focus on infrastructure, with Ksh 5 billion set aside to hire local labor for the undertaking.
