As Denmark's Superliga season resumes amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, fans may not be allowed to physically support their clubs at stadiums. However, AGF Aarhus is breaking new ground by allowing fans to be present at Ceres Park to cheer on their team, albeit virtually.

The club will use the video conferencing tool Zoom to enable fans to watch the match, with their feed displayed on several screens facing the pitch. Fans can apply for free 'tickets' and choose from 22 different virtual grandstands.

According to AGF Aarhus CEO Jacob Nielsen, the club is proud to be the first in the world to use this innovative approach. 'Now it seems that we have to do without spectators for a while, so maybe we can inspire a similar initiative at other clubs that can also benefit from it,' he said.

Zoom has proven to be a popular platform among millions of people worldwide, who have been in lockdown due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
