As a member of the British royal family, Kate Middleton is subject to a multitude of fashion rules and traditions. One of these rules, revealed in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, is a ban on wearing wedge shoes in the presence of the Queen.

According to a source, the Queen is not a fan of wedge shoes and has made it well-known among the women in the family that she dislikes them. This means that Kate, who is often spotted wearing wedges on royal visits, has to choose a different shoe style when attending events where the Queen will be present.

Additionally, all women in the royal family are required to wear nude tights when they're out and about, and not go bare-legged for any big day in front of the cameras.

It's clear that Kate and other women in the royal family have to be mindful of their fashion choices to avoid any potential faux pas.
