On May 22, 2020, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko sparked a social media frenzy when he commented on a photo of singer Tanasha Donna on Instagram.
Donna, a mother of one, was posing in a blue ensemble, consisting of a matching long-sleeved top and miniskirt.
Sonko's comment, which featured the bomb emoji, was met with a barrage of witty responses from netizens, with many interpreting his comment as a compliment.
Some of the responses included:

It remains to be seen whether Sonko's comment was intended as a genuine compliment or just a lighthearted joke.
