Accusations Against Mama Dangote ¶
Sanura Kassim, the mother of Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, has been at the center of controversy following her son's failed relationships. The accusations range from being the reason behind his failed relationships to being a barrier to his success.
However, her husband, Uncle Shamte, has come out to defend her against the accusations. In an interview with Wasafi media, he stated that the duty of a mother is to stay close to her children and advise them accordingly.
Shamte clarified that as parents, they only get involved in Diamond's life when there is need to provide direction, and they favor no party in the discussion. He also stated that they only come in when needed for advice and give their input when they see things going wrong, without being biased to any side.
Shamte was forced to address the media after his wife received constant accusations of being 'wicked' and a barrier to her children's success, especially regarding Diamond.
On May 22, 2020, Diamond Platnumz gifted his mother a 3-star hotel in Dar es Salaam, and all his businesses are reportedly registered under her name.

Shamte told trolls to back off his wife, whether it concerns who Diamond chooses to date or his past relationships that ended up messy. He stated that if someone has to take the fall, it should not be Mama Dangote.
