On 5 June 2020, Sauti Sol is set to release their highly anticipated album, 'Midnight Train', with 'Insecure' serving as the second instant gratification track.

The song, which oscillates between the perspectives of two lovers dealing with their respective insecurities, features Swahili lyrics and a melodic guitar strum.

According to band member Chimano, 'Everyone is insecure about something in their lives.' He adds that the song encourages one to consciously address their insecurities rather than conceal them.

Directed by Director K, the 'Insecure' video was shot in a classic vinyl record store in Cape Town and features an intimate performance addressing an onlooking love interest.

With insecurities cleverly depicted as a spirit hauntingly hovering over a lady, the ensuing choreography is one of her dancing as a form of escape.

As of 22 May 2020, the song has already enjoyed close to 100k views on YouTube, barely three hours since its release.
