It's a story of love, kindness, and the power of human connection. Joyce's life was forever changed when she met Margaret, a woman who would become her mother figure and change her life forever.

According to Joyce, she met Margaret in 2012 when she was looking for a job. At the time, Joyce was struggling to make ends meet and had no one to turn to. Margaret, who owned a kindergarten school in Nakuru County, took Joyce under her wing and offered to guide and pay her college fees.

As Joyce recounts, 'Imagine you just met someone, a complete stranger, and she offers a lot of love and tries by all means to make you feel comfortable. She welcomed me to her home. She provided all parental guidance and care. She became more than a mother.'

But Joyce's life wasn't without its challenges. When Margaret fell ill with leg ulcers, Joyce was left to care for her and manage the school. Despite the difficulties, Joyce remained committed to her mother figure and continued to work hard to support herself and Margaret.

Today, Joyce is grateful for the love and support she received from Margaret. 'I am so grateful to her for being so hard and loving to me. I have lived with her family for close to nine years and I do not regret having them as my family.'

As Joyce looks back on her journey, she is reminded of the importance of kindness, love, and human connection. 'To my mother Margaret, even as you continue with this battle to the stubborn leg ulcers, I want you to know that you can count on me for anything within my reach and beyond. I love you mom and I will always do.'
