On a recent episode of the Classic 105 morning show, Mwalimu Kingangi shared his thoughts on why women often prioritize men with financial stability. He noted that many women who called in expressed a desire for a man with money, with Maina Kageni being a top priority.
However, Mwalimu Kingangi cautioned that this focus on material wealth can be problematic. He advised women to consider men beyond their financial status, suggesting that they could 'grow together' with someone who may not have as much to offer initially.
He used the example of Mike Mondo, saying that women may feel that his wealth is not enough, and therefore prefer Maina Kageni because his 'basket is full.' Mwalimu Kingangi's advice to such women was to 'take Mike and grow with him,' reminding him later in life that they helped fill his 'basket.'
He also noted that growing with someone can make it difficult for them to let you go, and that women should consider the long-term benefits of a relationship rather than just focusing on material wealth.
