1,000 Offenders Processed for Breach of COVID-19 Regulations

Published on May 22, 2020, the temporary courts at Kasarani Stadium were established to handle cases related to breach of COVID-19 regulations.

The courts, which began operating on May 7, 2020, deal with cases from the Nairobi Metropolitan area, including failure to wear masks, failure to keep social distance, and breach of curfew.

As of this week, the Kasarani courts had registered and fully processed about 1,000 offenders, who were either fined or sentenced to community work.
