Published on May 22, 2020, Rommy Jones, the brother of Diamond Platnumz and WCB's official DJ, has made a surprising revelation about the hit song 'John Cena' by Sho Madjozi.
According to Jones, he was the original owner of the song, and he gave it to Sho Madjozi for free. He explained that the song was initially meant to be a collaboration with Mbosso before 'Colours' came into the picture.
Sho Madjozi and Rommy Jones have a close friendship that started on Instagram. They met and worked together on the song, with Rommy Jones suggesting Mbosso to feature on the track. After the song was complete, Sho Madjozi went on tour in Europe and met with 'Colours.' She then asked Rommy Jones if she could use the song for her project, and he agreed.
When asked why he had never been credited for the song, Rommy Jones said, 'I left the song to her, I didn't ask for money or anything, and that's how the song became big. Everything has a reason.'
Interestingly, Rommy Jones has recorded another project with Sho Madjozi, but this time, Mbosso is not included. He revealed that they have a song already with Sho Madjozi, and the video is ready.
