On May 22, 2020, Kenyan YouTuber Edgar Obare faced backlash from Jalango after exposing him and members of his 'boys club' for being sexual predators.

Obare took to his social media to respond to the allegations, writing a cryptic message stating, 'I am a nice guy underneath all this shade 😎😂✌️.'

However, not everyone was convinced by Obare's response. Some social media users expressed their disappointment with the way he handled the situation, while others praised him for speaking out against the alleged predators.

One user, @BrianSikulu_, suggested that Obare could have handled the situation differently, revealing the identities of the women involved in the story. He claimed that some of the women were now homeless due to the exposure.

Another user, @pm_njeru, proposed that Jalango take over the chairmanship of the men's conference from mzee Kibor Edgar, citing the need for men to take responsibility for their actions.

Some users defended Obare, calling him a hero for speaking out against the alleged predators. They urged Jalango and his friends to change their ways and make their loved ones happy.

However, not everyone was convinced by Obare's response, with some users accusing him of being insensitive to the women involved in the story.
