Comedian Idris Sultan has found himself in trouble with the law once again, this time for a 'social media crime', according to his lawyer.
The Tanzanian authorities have not specified what post on his social media pages led to his arrest, but his lawyer has confirmed that it was related to his online activities.
This is not the first time Sultan has faced legal issues. Last year, he was arrested for photoshopping President Magufuli's face onto his own body on Instagram, and was released on bail after five hours in custody.
Before that, he and others were sued for using content on their YouTube channel without a license from the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA).
As news of his latest arrest spreads, Sultan's sister Lulu Diva has taken to social media to express her concern, and Tanzanians are rallying behind him with the hashtag #FreeIdrisSultan.
