On May 21, 2020, StarTimes Media announced a revamped bouquet offering that includes 8 new premium channels across news, kids, movies, fashion, novelas, gaming, and e-sports.
The new channels, including Sky News, CBeebies, Film Box, Gametoon, Timeless Drama Channel (TDC), Tlnovelas, FashionBox HD, and Toonami, will enhance the existing content genres available to the broadcaster's terrestrial and satellite television subscribers.
According to StarTimes Regional Marketing Director Mr. Aldrine Nsubuga, the brand is committed to refining the programming available to subscribers and delivering premium content at affordable subscription rates.
"We are progressively improving the content available to our subscribers, key in growing our value proposition and as a way of appreciating their loyalty to the brand," said Mr. Nsubuga.
The new channels will cater to diverse interests, including 24-hour global news coverage on Sky News, critically-acclaimed Turkish shows on Timeless Drama Channel (TDC), and over 300 premiere titles on Film Box.
Other channels, such as FashionBox HD, Gametoon, and Toonami, will focus on fashion, gaming, and Japanese animations, respectively.
CBeebies will help pre-school kids learn while playing fun games and watching relevant clips.
