On March 30, 1998, Adarsh Sawjani was born in Mombasa, a city where sports run deep in the blood of its residents. Little did he know that he would grow up to be one of the best wicket-takers in the Coast region, thanks to his family's sporting legacy.

Adarsh's father, Piyush Sawjani, and his late uncle, Mohammed Sawjani, both played for the Kenya national team, setting the stage for Adarsh's own sporting journey. 'I was introduced to sports at a young age,' Adarsh recalls. 'My first toy was a plastic set of a cricket bat and a ball. I played my first mini league match at the age of seven, representing Coast Gymkhana Sports Club.'

With a sports management degree from Loughborough University in England, Adarsh has become a force to be reckoned with in the cricket world. He has led his club to several awards and has even donned the national team colours, a moment he fondly recalls as 'monumental'. 'My dream is to play at Lords, the cricket paradise,' he adds, admiring India's national cricket team captain Virat Kohli.

Despite his many achievements, Adarsh remains humble and dedicated to his craft. 'Cricket has become a lifestyle to me, although it has its ups and downs but that is what makes me a better player,' he says. With his passion and talent, it's no wonder that Adarsh Sawjani is making waves in the cricket world.
