Published on May 21, 2020, an NFL player has taken United Airlines to court, accusing staff of inaction when he reported a female passenger's alleged sexual harassment and assault on a February flight.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, seeks unspecified statutory and punitive damages from the airline.

According to the complaint, the player and another male passenger in the same row repeatedly informed flight attendants that the woman was making unwanted sexual advances.

Despite their reports, the woman's behavior continued, escalating into physical assault, including grabbing and groping the player's legs and genitals.

Flight attendants eventually moved the woman to a different seat, but the lawsuit claims that United's failure to act more quickly was a breach of its duty to protect and care for its passengers.
