This archive report was first published on 21 May 2020.

On April 25, Daniel Nyansarora allegedly assaulted his wife, Teresa Bosibori, breaking her leg. The incident occurred in Magombo village, Nyamira County.

Bosibori, 50, later forgave her husband and petitioned to withdraw the case. However, Nyansarora refused to accept the apology, stating that he did not want the case to be withdrawn.

Chief Magistrate Margaret Wambani freed Nyansarora on a Sh30,000 bond, allowing the case to proceed to a full hearing. The case will be mentioned again on July 21.
